Worship and Media
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” Psalm 98:4
Proclaiming the greatness of God and singing God’s story: this is our goal for every worship service. Because God’s story is OUR story, each Sunday we gather as the people of God to sing Biblical truth in ways that draw us deeper into love and adoration of our great Savior and empower us to go forth into the world as the followers of Jesus. (Colossians 3: 16) We remember what the LORD has done for us. We ask and rehearse the answers to life’s most important questions. We relish the opportunity to splash around in the unceasing stream of worship offered by the angels to our Most Holy God (Isaiah 6). We anticipate our glorious future when all things are made new, and we join with the Hosts of heaven to sing around the throne and give all blessing, honor, glory, strength, and power to Him who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb. (Revelation 4, 5, & 7).
Instrumentalists and vocalists combine their gifts to lead all those gathered in singing the best and richest new songs from today’s songwriters: Sovereign Grace, Keith and Kristin Getty, Matt Boswell, CityAlight Music, Phil Wickham. We also stand upon the time-honored foundations and best traditions of our Christian heritage utilizing great hymns of the church. The Celebration Choir sings every Sunday from August thru May. They are a worship-leading choir engaging in praise music, hymns and weekly anthems ranging from classics to modern offerings.

Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir provides choral music for each worship service from August thru May. They have a heart for worship while using the gifts God gave them for His glory. The anthems they sing are rich in content to complement the sermon and scripture. Though the quality of musical excellence is important, leading our congregation into authentic worship is their aim. Anyone from high school and and above is welcome. Previous choral experience is helpful, but not necessary. Rehearsals Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7PM in the sanctuary.
The Celebration Choir sings, worships, prays and enjoys fellowship with one another. If you are interested in leading in worship in the choir, please contact Lisa Whipps.

Christmas Choir
Each year in August begins our preparations for the sharing of the true meaning of Christmas in a choral form. Christmas Choir is opened to additional members of DCC and rehearsals are moved to Saturdays. This enables our members who serve in other ministries on Wednesday nights/Sunday mornings to participate in a community outreach choral experience. Our doors are opened a little wider, inviting members of the nearby Christian community to join us with our number swelling to nearly 50. There is one rehearsal per month (for 2 1/2 hours) beginning in August. These rehearsals feature sectionals, refreshments as well as a combined rehearsal. If you would like more information about the DCC Christmas Choir (and friends), please contact Lisa Whipps.

WIRED for Sound
Wired for sound is our “Children’s Choir Program K - 7th grade. This program is providing training for worship and worship leading for the next generation. We meet on Sunday evenings from 5PM to 6:30. Each evening has a small group time, where scriptural backgrounds of the songs are taught, reviewed and applied as well as musical skills imparted. Large group time not only addressed singing skills but music reading skills are taught through a variety of games and activities. Spiritual backgrounds of the music are taught here as well all in a well-ordered but fun environment. They work on music that is shared periodically in the Sunday morning worship service as well as fully staged musicals (at least once per year).

Media Team
The Media Team at DCC helps to share the good news of the Gospel through audio/video technology in worship and equips other ministries to use technology as effective worship and outreach tools.
Our media team handles the audio/visual needs at our worship services and special events. Our audio technician operates our sound system during worship and media team members run projections through ProPresenter and operate cameras that record our services for later postings that can be viewed through this website (click here to view sermon library). We strive to enhance worship through technology, not distract from it - we want His Word and our praise to Him to be seen and heard clearly.
Media Team volunteers may serve as ProPresenter operator or backup audio technician and will be trained in every area. Volunteers generally serve 1-2 times per month and special events, as needed. Volunteers must be of high school age or above and possess intermediate to advanced computer skills, solid concentration skills and a heart for worship and service. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please click the link below.
(Clear room, with no gear on/ Happy techs while serving (maybe during rehearsal while lights are on/talking (smiling) after done with service but still in sound room)
